Interminable devastation - my mind wall has arrived.

ALERT: If you don't want to know even the tiniest plot twist in the 8th Skulduggery Pleasant book, Last Stand of Dead Men, then don't read this.

I have hit a wall. A mind wall. It's the kind of wall that stands there looking menacing as you search frantically for a way around it. It seems to get taller every second. It arrives at different times during different events for different people. My mind wall has arrived. Why has my mind wall arrived? Well, other people who have read Skulduggery Pleasant - Last Stand of Dead Men may also be experiencing the arrival of the mind wall. About ten minutes ago I finished that book. But that's not the main reason I have received my mind wall. When I read chapter 52 my life was doomed to never be the same again. My favourite character turned out to be a traitor. A TRAITOR. He stabbed his friend in the back, literally, and he then proceeded to stab that same friend in the neck using the same knife. He just stood their and watched as his bodyguard decapitated his other friend. He was my favourite character. I fell for his lies, as did all of his friends. Traitor. The mind wall arrived shortly after I read that chapter, but I didn't notice it until I finished the book. It ended with a cliffhanger and on the last page was this image;

I had noticed this page ages ago and I hadn't thought about all that much. I just thought, "Oh. It's all ending soon." But when I finished the book that was the only page I had left to stare at, and I thought, "9 months. We have 9 months to wait, and it'll all be over. 9... 9 months. NINE MONTHS! My life is ending." Ok, yes, a touch dramatic. But if you have read the whole series and you are as dedicated a fan as me then you will be feeling the same. There is a gaping hole in my heart; the character I have been in love with for years turned out to be a traitor and the Skulduggery Pleasant series is ending forever. I am truly devastated.
